Tesla has increased the price of its wall connector to $425 USD ($575 in Canada) on its online store, although the hardware was still being displayed at the original price of $350 USD on Best Buy’s website for several hours after the change (via Reddit).

Since then, Best Buy has also increased the price to $425, though some users in the thread seem to have made their purchases while it was still listed as $350.

The Wall Connector lets users charge their vehicles at home, work or other stationary locations, providing up to 44 miles of range per hour of charging. The part also includes a 24-foot cable and can be operated at multiple power settings.

Tesla’s Wall Connectors have been all over the place in price, dropping to $495 from $550 last May, and more recently, dropping to $400 before falling even further to $350.

In July, Tesla added support for connecting to the Wall Connector using the app, after the feature had been discovered internally in the app’s source code.

The Wall Connectors also launched in Europe, with some countries even letting you purchase them as an add-on to vehicle orders from the order configurator.

You can also purchase color-matched faceplates for the Tesla Wall Connector, available in black, gray, blue or red.
