Tesla Updates Model S, Model X Range in Europe as First Deliveries Near

Tesla has confirmed the electric vehicle (EV) range for both the Model S and Model X in Europe as the automaker prepares to start delivering the Plaid trims of both vehicles in the region (via @tesla_adri).

European orders for the Model S/X Plaid opened up back in August. According to a report from earlier this week, Tesla will send out its first Model S/X Plaid customer deliveries in Europe next month.

According to Tesla’s European configurator, the company will resume orders for its refreshed base Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) trim of the Model S and Model X sometime next year.

The electric carmaker updated advertised ranges for all four trims, changing the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light-Duty Test Procedure) estimates to the actual WLTP-rated range. Take a look at the final numbers below:

Model S

  • Dual Motor AWD: 634 km (unchanged from 634 km)
  • Plaid: 600 km (unchanged from 600 km)

Model X

  • Dual Motor AWD: 576 km (up from 560 km)
  • Plaid: 543 km (up from 528 km)

The official WLTP-rated range for both Model S trims is the same as the original estimates, but both Model X trims received a slight bump in range.

Alongside Europe, Tesla is also gearing up to start delivering the Model S/X Plaid in China.
