Both you and the person referring you receive the same reward after you have subscribed for two months. Rewards default to service credit, so if you want cash, check your account’s Referrals section and select that option before the reward pays out.

• If you prefer cash, select it and link your bank account before payout. Complete any required identity checks.
• Track your referral and reward in your account on the web or in the Starlink app.

Starlink says the reward can be issued as soon as 60 days after activation. That is not a guarantee that a cash payment will reach your bank on day 60.

Should you choose cash or service credit?

Service credit is the default. It is applied to your Starlink account and deducted from your next invoice. Cash lets you receive the reward through a linked bank account where that option is available.

Your selection is locked when the reward pays out, based on the option selected in your account at that time. Choose your preferred option beforehand. The person who referred you makes their own selection, and neither choice changes the other.

The current offer is a fixed referral reward. In Canada, that is $140 CAD; in the U.S., it is $100 USD. Its value does not equal one month of every Starlink plan.

Who can receive a Starlink referral reward?

Starlink’s referral program is available in most places where it operates. Customers on an active Residential or Roam plan can refer people through their account.

For a qualifying sign-up, use the referral link and order directly from Starlink. Purchases through resellers, retailers or an account transfer are excluded. Review the eligibility and reward shown for your order before paying.

The amount depends on the country where the referred customer signs up. Cross-border referrals can carry a different reward, and cash is not available everywhere. Check your account rather than assuming another country’s payout applies.

Starlink home internet prices in Canada and the U.S.

Residential plans serve a fixed home location and include unlimited data. The 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps plans cap download speeds at those levels. Max provides the maximum speed available at your location and the highest priority within the Residential range.

At the listed rates, 12 months of Residential 100 Mbps costs $900 CAD or $660 USD for service alone, before taxes, hardware, other charges or referral credits. Residential Max raises that to $1,800 CAD or $1,560 USD.

Starlink Roam prices for Canada and the U.S.

Roam is the range to compare when you need to move between locations. The 100GB and 300GB plans include a monthly high-speed data allowance, followed by unlimited low-speed data. That makes the allowance worth checking if you plan to stream video or download large game updates while travelling.

Starlink groups the U.S. and Canada together for Roam 100GB and 300GB travel. Trips beyond that region require a closer look at Roam Unlimited and its current international limits. Do not assume unlimited data means unlimited time in another country. Check Starlink’s travel guidance before leaving.

Roam also supports pausing through a paid Standby Mode. Include that fee when comparing seasonal costs, and check the amount displayed in your account before changing service.

Choosing a plan before you sign up

For internet at one home, compare Residential plans. Start with the least expensive option that meets your needs, then consider whether faster downloads justify a higher monthly bill. For camping, road trips and moving between locations, compare Roam.

The reward is a one-time benefit, so the ongoing price matters more over a longer subscription. Check hardware, shipping, installation and taxes in your order summary, along with any equipment promotion or return requirements.
