One of the auto industry’s biggest names in reviews has officially received his delivery of a new Tesla, after waiting on delivery of the vehicle.
On Monday, @Sandy Munro shared photos of his new, white Tesla Model S Plaid, including photos of the front, side and interior steering yoke. Upon receipt and alongside his photos, Munro emphasized the wait he’s endured to take delivery, saying “It’s finally here!”
In response to Teslarati’s Joey Klender asking when Munro would perform a teardown of the vehicle, Munro said he was first planning to do a road trip, then would share a teardown of the vehicle.
Munro is known for reviewing a number of electric vehicles (EVs) across the sector in recent months and has even interviewed Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
Over the summer, Munro shared a review of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system, while it was still in Beta version 9.
In addition, Munro also reviewed Tesla’s Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, which is awaiting final approval from the German government to mark official completion.
Last month, Munro also alluded to the Chinese EV market coming for the U.S. auto market, but he also emphasized that Tesla is still ahead for now.
Munro also slammed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for treating Tesla unfairly in a recent investigation into Autopilot-related crashes.
