Tesla Semi Megacharger Stall Reportedly Installed at Gigafactory Nevada [VIDEOS]
Following our first look at Tesla’s Gigafactory Nevada Semi Megachargers last month, another source has captured some different perspectives of the semi-truck charging fast-charger, along with some overhead video shots of the factory itself.
@Sawyer Merritt shared a first look at the Tesla Semi Megacharger at the company’s Gigafactory Nevada location on Monday, including photos and a number of drone shots. The reported Megacharger stall can be seen beside a Tesla Model 3 and another truck, though neither are plugged into the charger.

While the Megacharger stall largely looks just like a Supercharger stall, it includes a black trim instead of red, though it’s unclear if this is simply due to it being a prototype or if this is how Megachargers will look once deployed.
Merritt also included drone videos 1, 2 and 3 of the factory, and while none of them include close-ups of the Megacharger stalls, he added that he’s still working on getting some closer drone shots of the stall.
On Monday, Pepsi’s CEO said initial Tesla Semi deliveries would occur by the end of this year, ahead of Tesla’s previously-stated timelines for the electric semi.
While Tesla Semi production was originally rumored for August 2021, it’s unclear if the company did begin prototyping Semi production during that time, especially with deliveries being expected to begin only by 2023.
