Testing Full Self-Driving Beta with Two Different Teslas [VIDEO]

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving system is supposedly receiving “superhuman” improvements to come soon, set to benefit the standard Autopilot system too. Until then, we’ll just have to settle for “average human” self-driving, which, as it turns out, is still pretty impressive.

In a new video released by Sofiaan Fraval and James Locke, both FSD beta testers team up to show side-by-side footage of the self-driving software in action. The video shares a total of seven different test scenarios, which each Tesla faces and overcomes fairly simply.

The test scenarios include going straight across a four-way stop, turning left at a four-way stop, turning right at a four-way stop, turning left at a major intersection, using a roundabout regularly, yielding at a roundabout, and positioning using the FSD system.

All in all, we’re seeing a totally different FSD than we saw upon the beta’s release last fall. Many of the complex left turns and roundabouts that proved problematic for the AI system are now commonplace, as we can see from the video, as well as a number of incredible no-intervention drives.

As Tesla’s FSD and Autopilot systems continue to improve, the world is becoming more and more prepared to embrace self-driving. Soon enough, we’ll be able to use autonomous technologies for robotaxis, deliveries, and a whole slew of other helpful causes.
