Tesla to Livestream Semi Rollout Event September 24 at 6pm PDT

Tesla will stream its September 24 Semi Rollout event live from Sparks, Nevada, giving the public a front-row seat to the opening of the company’s first high-volume Semi factory. Announced Wednesday by Tesla Semi, the livestream will begin at 6pm PDT on Thursday.

The event is an invite-only inauguration of the dedicated Semi plant, with confirmed guests set for guided factory tours and ride-alongs in the production truck. It marks a milestone years in the making, as the 1.7 million-square-foot facility sized for 50,000 trucks a year moves from construction to a formal opening. Invitations went out with the original September 24 announcement, and creator invites have since confirmed the day’s tour-and-ride-along format.

Purpose-built as Tesla’s home for the Class 8 electric truck, the Sparks plant makes 4680 cells on-site to feed the line. In April, the first Semi rolled off the new high-volume production line, a production milestone Tesla highlighted at the time, and rare tours of the new Sparks factory have since shown the line coming together. Deliveries are ramping through 2026, backed by orders including Einride’s 500-truck commitment and a growing Megacharger charging network.

For Tesla, opening the factory publicly is the next step in proving the Semi has moved from low-volume builds to real mass production. A live audience now gets to watch the rollout event alongside invited guests in Nevada, with Tesla Semi hosting the broadcast.
