Tesla Model 3 Gets Price Drop in Italy, Now Eligible for €3,000 Subsidy

Tesla has dropped the price of its RWD Model 3 in Italy to 41,490 ($44,047.90 USD), now making it eligible for the country’s 3,000 subsidy, and even more in some provinces (via @Mathias Føns).

The new list price can be seen on Tesla’s Italian order configurator, representing an 8 percent price reduction for the company’s flagship sedan. The configurator also notes that the Model 3 selection is available for inventory models only.

In addition to the 3,000 subsidy, buyers who scrap a used gas car may be eligible for up to 5,000.

Tesla has also been known to offer discount prices on demo and inventory Model 3 and Y units in Europe and other markets from time to time in the past.

The news comes after Tesla started discounting some Model S and X inventory in the U.S. for as much as $16,000, suggesting that the company could be selling off current models to make room for upcoming HW4-equipped vehicles.

Tesla’s Model Y SUV led electric vehicle (EV) sales in Italy in November, and the country was one of Europe’s first countries with the non-Tesla EV Supercharger pilot program.

The news also comes just months after Tesla’s sweeping price reductions hit the U.S., Europe, Canada, China and more, offering price cuts on every model, with some models being discounted by as much as $21,000.
