Tesla Model 3 Tops EV Sales in Europe: November 2021

According to data from research firm JATO Dynamics, the Tesla Model 3 absolutely dominated electric vehicle (EV) sales in Europe in November 2021 reports Tesmanian (use coupon code TESLANORTH10 to save 10% off car mats and more).

Tesla registered a total of 10,739 Model 3 vehicles in Europe last month, making it the best-selling EV (plug-in or battery-electric) in the region.

European Model 3 registrations in November 2021 were up 119% year-over-year as compared to November 2020. The Tesla Model 3 is no stranger to Europe’s top-selling EV spot, also taking the crown in March of this year as well as August.

Despite only being on sale in Europe for around three months now, the Tesla Model Y posted some impressive numbers and sold around half as many units as the Model 3, at 5,347. The Model Y ranked fourth in European EV sales for November 2021.

What’s more, the Tesla Model 3 ranked 12th in European car sales by volume across all propulsion types, giving some of the most popular Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) models a run for their money. While not as impressive as when it became the first EV ever to top overall car sales in Europe earlier this year in September, it is still an impressive feat.

Tesla is gaining a lot of traction in Germany, with the country becoming the EV pioneer’s largest market in Europe. In addition, things will get even better for Tesla in Germany (and the rest of Europe) once the company’s Berlin-Brandenburg Gigafactory goes online.
