2022 Tesla Model X vs 2017 Model X Compared by New Owner
Tesla’s Fremont factory was full of Tesla Model X and S units last month, and now some of those Model X units are beginning to deliver to customers.
After sharing photos of a newly-delivered 2022 Tesla Model X unit, one owner has shared a detailed breakdown of the differences between the 2022 model and his 2017 Model X in a post on the Tesla Motors Club forum (via @CyberZack42).
In terms of acceleration, Zack said he “Didn’t realize how much of a difference there was between 4.7 seconds and 3.8 seconds.”
Along with other differences, Zack is quick to note that the handling feels better than pre-Raven Model X units as well as that of the Model 3.
For those who have asked here’s a link to TMC where gave a quick rundown of first impressions and differences between the 2022 X and my 2017 X. https://t.co/Wwy5VsopgZ

In addition, he points out that the rattling from earlier Model X units is gone, which he says will “make you as excited as it made me” for those who had earlier models of the vehicle.
Along with other things, Zack notes the sound system, the ventilated seats, the steering yolk and the new landscape screen, among other items included in the review still.
Zack also shared a number of photos along with the review, mostly depicting the interior to convey how much the vehicle feels like a spaceship.
Tesla started delivering its first Model X refresh vehicles back in mid-October, after lengthy delays. New Model X orders are seeing estimated delivery dates of January 2023 for the Dual Motor version and October 2022 for the Tri Motor Plaid.
