A comparison sheet courtesy of TeslaTruckClub showing the specs of the Tesla Cybertruck and Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup side-by-side has surfaced online on Thursday, and many across the web are speculating as to how the vehicle’s range will actually turn out (via u/adamhughey).
On the comparison sheet, we see a number of different specs, including range, towing capacities, clearance, power abilities like powering a home, etc. For the Cybertruck, the base model is expected to get 250 miles of range while the best model is expected to get over 500 miles. The F-150 Lightning, on the other hand, includes estimates for now, with this particular chart citing roughly 230 miles for the base range and 300 miles for the best variant.
Though it isn’t reflected on the sheet, another difference is the timeline for each – Ford’s F-150 Lightning base and pro models are planned for delivery as 2022 models. Tesla’s Cybertruck, however, has been delayed before and should be out by the end of this year, although it would be conceivable for them to pump the brakes, at least once more.
The sheet follows a video also shared Thursday in which Marques Brownlee takes a first-hand look at the Ford F-150 Lightning, breaking down elements of the electric truck’s engine, interior, range.

According to Brownlee, the Ford F-150 Lightning’s estimated 300-mile range is actually based on EPA estimates with the truck loaded with 1,000 pounds in the truckbed – meaning that the actual range for an empty pickup could be upwards of 350 miles, and maybe even as many as 400.
