Tesla Opens First Office in Romania, Confirms Local Mayor
After publicizing an expansion into Romania back in December, Tesla has now successfully inaugurated its very first office in the capital city of Bucharest — reports Romania-Insider.
The U.S.-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer has set up a local division in the country under the name ‘Tesla Motors Romania’. The newly opened office is located in a business plaza on Calea Serban Voda Boulevard in District 4 of the capital city.
District 4 mayor Daniel Baluta had the following to say in response to this significant leap in automotive technology for the country:
“The arrival in District 4 of one of the most innovative companies, a symbol of technological success, confirms the good direction that our community has chosen in recent years. That of massive investments in road infrastructure, economic growth, smart development of the city, relying on the use of innovative technologies to improve our lives and protect the environment.”
Tesla has already established itself as an industry leader in the U.S. and much of Europe. With an overwhelming response from China, Tesla is moving ever-confidently forward with its plans to branch out into Asian countries like India and Singapore, and even more of Europe.
The new office is just the tip of the iceberg — Tesla has big plans for investment in Romania, starting with Supercharger installations in Timisoara, Bucharest, Pitesti, and Sibiu.
