Tesla Now Has Over 730 Superchargers in China
Last month, Tesla hit 700 Superchargers in China, having added over 100 in the first month of the year. And at the start of the year’s second month, it’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Tesla added four new Supercharging stations in China last week, totalling 38 new stalls, according to an email sent out to customers (via @42how_). This amounts to 738 total Supercharger stations in China, with over 5,800 stalls in over 300 cities across mainland China, and with more on the way of the latest V3 version.
Last year, Tesla also announced it would be building a dedicated factory in China to produce Superchargers. The company predicted the factory could build as many as 10,000 chargers per year, with it being built sometime in 2021.

With Tesla seeing heavy demand for its Model Y SUV in China, more Superchargers are a welcome sight for owners.
Users can also suggest new Supercharger station sites, simply by going to Tesla’s website and submitting a request. Once submitted, the company’s Charging Team reviews the request, and before you know it, hopefully, your submitted site will pop up in the months and years to come.
In any case, the growing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure offers major incentive for auto buyers to go electric. Of concerns cited by buyers considering EVs, range and battery anxiety ranks at the top, so any benefit to the infrastructure will help reduce these concerns – and hopefully, will lead to a lower emissions planet.
