Tesla Confirms First Model Y Deliveries in China Set for Jan. 18

We now have confirmation from Tesla China its first Model Y SUV deliveries will take place on Monday, January 18, 2021.
A previous report from Tesmanian said Tesla would deliver its first Model Y starting January 18, but now we have official confirmation.
According to invitations sent out to early Model Y owners in Shanghai, Tesla has invited these first owners to attend a delivery ceremony, set for 10:30am local time on January 18, 2021, at the Minghang District Tesla Center (via @ray4tesla).

Tesla launched Model Y orders in China on New Year’s day, with pre-orders surpassing 100,000 in 10 hours. New orders aren’t set to deliver until the second quarter of this year, due to heavy demand.
