Elon Musk Says Battery Cell Production is Slowing Down Sustainable Energy Future

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is pushing hard for a sustainable future for the planet and the entrepreneur has shared what he believes is the biggest problem slowing us down.

Responding to a recent round-up of battery job opportunities posted by Tesla, Musk has tweeted that battery production is the biggest thing stifling the pathway to a future of sustainable energy.

While it will likely come as no surprise to electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts, the call does open up the opportunity for Tesla to hire young new professionals to help the company improve, and maybe even solve, this problem in the years to come.

Tesla’s call for new cell employees comes from both of its in-progress factories: Gigafactory Berlin and Gigafactory Austin. Each factory is set for completion within 2021, meaning that the cell production team should already be well-informed by then.

In addition, the company plans to deliver its long-anticipated Cybertruck later this year, expected to be high in demand.

As Tesla continues to face and help solve some of humanity’s greatest issues, cell production is near the top of the list. The transition of the world to sustainable transportation is well underway, though not without setbacks.

Still, we’re likely to see a major switch to EVs within the next decade, especially as battery cell manufacturing processes improve, and EVs become more and more affordable for the average consumer.
