Winter is coming, or actually, it’s now here, if we’re talking about Tesla’s Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared a drone flyover video today of “snow falling on Giga Berlin,” showing its huge footprint, nearly complete, covered in snow.
It’s neat to see an official Giga Berlin flyover from Tesla, as third-party drone pilots have been detailing construction daily since shovels first hit the ground last year.
“Because of the large footprint, it may seem flat, but actually ranges up to 5 stories tall,” added Musk in a follow up.
Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg will be Tesla’s “most advanced Gigafactory”, and is set to start Model Y production when complete later this year.
Tesla is currently hiring for numerous positions at Giga Berlin, including for engineers to join its battery cell team.
