Elon Musk Says “Major” Supercharger Increases Coming for Greater L.A.

Tesla Superchargers have revolutionized modern transportation in many ways. While Tesla vehicles are certainly state of the art, the company’s network of charging stations has played a major role in electric vehicle adoption both in North America and abroad. The demand generated by drivers all over the world acts as a testament to the network’s success. The company maintains efforts to increase the Supercharger network. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently confirmed that a major Supercharger increase is underway in the Los Angeles area.

Just a few weeks ago, Musk replied to a fan’s request for more Superchargers in Los Angeles. The LA area marked a growing concern on the company’s Supercharger agenda. Musk responded positively, assuring Tesla owners that more Superchargers were “coming soon.” Yesterday, Musk posted a tweet in response to another driver’s request stating “Major Supercharger increases are underway for the greater LA area.”

Tesla’s main factory operating close to Los Angeles in Fremont, California. The area remains a hot spot for Tesla vehicles. Tesla Supercharger use was down amid the coronavirus outbreak. But a recent chart tweeted by the CEO himself shows that usage has returned to pre-COVID-19 highs in several regions around the world. Additional Supercharger stations in LA will only help these figures.
