Tesla continues to make progress in expanding its production efforts across the globe. Yesterday, Tesla announced some exciting news regarding their progress at their production facility in Shanghai, China. Now, in a video posted to YouTube by user jetfox, viewers get an up close look at the company’s foundation work on Giga Berlin.

The video begins by showcasing a swarm of heavy machinery at the build site. Activity on the site comes as great news for Tesla’s Berlin factory. Earlier in the year, the company had to halt production at the foundation site due to an issue with the soil. After applying for a new approval from local authorities, work has resumed.
A notable aspect of the video showcases a pile driver on site as a team begins to break ground for the building’s foundation. As a massive construction project, it’s reasonable to expect that the factory will take some time to build. With Giga Berlin, Tesla marks its first production facility on the European continent. They plan to produce a range of electric vehicles at the new site. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also bragged about the factory’s paint shop. He said in a tweet that, “Giga Berlin will have world’s most advanced paint shop, with more layers of stunning colors that subtly change with curvature.”
