Grok Bot Data Bot Handled 70 Hours of Data Science Work Last Week

Grok Bot now has an internal Team Bot that acts like an on-demand data scientist.
SpaceXSI said the bot handled about 70 hours of work last week that would otherwise have landed on its data science team.
Details came Monday in a post on x.ai by Sally Xu, and the official @bot account flagged the same rollout for product managers, marketers and other teams that need warehouse queries, campaign readouts and live dashboards.
Data Bot is a Shared Bot inside Grok Bot. Unlike a personal bot that only knows what one owner taught it, this one draws on skills the data science team maintains for everyone, covering core metrics, A/B tests, chart and dashboard conventions, and data engineering habits such as dbt reviews and analytics event logging.
Product managers can ask follow-up questions in chat the way they would with a teammate. Xu cited Kevin Niparko saying the experience feels like having a data scientist in his pocket, with answers shaped the way he likes them, often a short headline plus a chart.
Marketers use it the same way. Jon Brenner feeds it a Braze campaign ID to see what recipients did after a click, including how many people switched plans after The X Subscription launch email, and Katy Abbaszadeh tracks how events move sales pipeline and weekly targets.
Teams can also drop Data Bot into Slack channels for scheduled metric updates and follow-up questions. Shared memory lets it keep useful lessons, such as checking a holiday calendar before blaming a metric drop on a product change, once managers approve those additions.
The write-up lands after a busy stretch for the assistant, from phone calendar, reminders and contacts access to calling businesses on a user’s behalf, and after recent chatter about usage meters jumping mid-week. SpaceXSI described Data Bot as an internal tool, with its analysts keeping the harder judgment calls.
Would you want a shared Data Bot for your own team’s warehouse, or keep analyses in a private bot?
