Tesla Robotaxi Rider Covers 74 Miles Across Houston in One $133 Trip

A Houston Robotaxi rider logged 74.1 miles and 3 hours 5 minutes for $133.25 on Saturday, running from the northern edge of Tesla’s expanded geofence to the southern edge and back to the same starting point.
Spencer, who posts as @scotsrule08, shared an app receipt for the round trip and called the ride “absolutely flawless,” tagging Tesla’s Robotaxi account and the TeslaSI team. The fare put him back where he started after a north-to-south sweep of the new Houston service area.
Tesla widened that Houston geofence on October 26, stretching the old Cypress-area patch through downtown in a map that looked a lot like Starship. Spencer’s route was a stress test of those new edges, not a short hop inside the old zone.
In replies, he said the trip is “probably up there amongst the longest” and noted the route did not use the interstate. Tesla has not posted an official longest-ride tally, so treat the ranking as a rider estimate.
The outing lands days after Tesla pushed Robotaxi hours to 2 a.m. and opened $0 first rides in Dallas and Houston. A paid three-hour loop at $133.25 is a different kind of stress test than a promotional first ride, and it shows what a full edge-to-edge booking can cost once the free promo is gone.
Spencer also said he recorded the whole trip for a video on Road to Autonomy that had not gone up yet when he posted the receipt.
Would you spend three hours and $133 just to see how far Houston’s Robotaxi fence really stretches?
