Tesla has opened a new 4-stall Semi Megacharger in Tulare, California, adding another dedicated charging stop for its electric Class 8 truck in the state’s Central Valley farm and freight belt.
The Tesla Charging account announced the site Friday evening with an overhead photo showing a Semi plugged into one of the new stalls. The post links to the station’s listing on Tesla’s charging map.

Megachargers are high-power chargers built specifically for the Semi, not Tesla’s passenger cars. Tulare sits along Highway 99 between Fresno and Bakersfield, a busy corridor for trucks hauling produce, dairy and goods up and down the Central Valley.
Tesla didn’t share the site’s charging speed, whether it is open to outside fleets or only Tesla’s own trucks, or which carriers will use it.
The opening comes two days after Tesla switched on its first East Coast Megacharger in Conley, Georgia, and follows the start of high-volume Semi production in Nevada last month. California has been the network’s home base, with Megachargers also going in at Forum Mobility depots across the state.
Four stalls won’t move the needle on its own, but for truckers running the 99, every new plug makes an electric rig a little easier to justify.
