Elon Musk joined the X Takeover fan event at Giga Texas in Austin by video Saturday afternoon for a virtual interview titled “What Comes Next for Humanity,” livestreamed by Tesla Owners Silicon Valley.

The independently organized gathering is the first X Takeover held at a Tesla factory. Musk appeared on the main stage screen rather than in person, with the conversation streamed free on the @teslaownersSV account.

On Starship, Musk said Flight 15 is hopefully four to six weeks away and that catching the ship would mark the first full recovery of an orbital-class rocket. In a clip posted by the organizers, he said the Flight 14 engine issue looked like engine computer software on one engine, and that “our main thing is like trying to make sure things are as safe as possible.” Tesla North has a fuller write-up of those Flight 15 remarks.

Looking back at Tesla’s Model 3 production crunch, Musk recounted how the company built a tent line in a Fremont parking lot when general assembly was the bottleneck. The only conveyor gear on hand was meant for small parts, so they started the line at the top of a slight downhill grade and let gravity help. “We were able to increase production by 30% in three weeks,” he said.

On AI, he argued people should treat the systems carefully, noting “not everyone’s a nice person” and warning against putting a superintelligence in a cruel chat. Separately, he praised AI-made music: “The AI music is really good.”

Earlier in the day, Cybercab chief engineer Eric Earley also spoke on stage. Attendees say he described the current Austin fleet as only the beginning and said Tesla aims to flood the city with Cybercabs, with new seating coming soon, the rollout still early on the S-curve, and expansion planned state by state with safety first. Tesla has not posted an official video confirming those exact lines, so they are treated here as attendee reports from the event rather than company quotes. Tesla’s Robotaxi account separately said more than 300 Cybercabs are now serving Austin.

Musk also posted separately Saturday that Grok Bot can now shop for people after they photograph a credit card in chat, including a LEGO order he said the bot placed from LEGO’s own site.

What still is not public is a full official transcript of the interview, a Tesla or SpaceX highlight reel, or a company-posted clip of Earley’s seating and Austin-fleet remarks.

If the point of X Takeover was to put Tesla’s next chapter in front of fans at the factory gate, a giant Elon on the Giga Texas screen was about as on-brand as it gets.
