Forum Mobility said on September 17, 2026 that it is breaking ground on four new California electric truck charging depots that will add 30 MW of heavy-duty capacity, with Tesla set to operate public Megacharging sites at three of those locations.
The depots span Northern and Southern California and will offer Megawatt Charging System (MCS) ports alongside CCS, plus pull-through lanes so drivers can keep chassis attached while they charge. Forum says MCS can deliver up to about a 60% range boost in roughly 30 minutes.
Tesla will run the public Megacharging sites at FM Francis in Ontario, plus FM Adeline and FM Coliseum in Oakland. Megachargers are Tesla’s high-power stations built for the Semi, distinct from passenger Superchargers, and the company has been deploying pre-assembled Megacharger units to support the production ramp.
At FM Santa Fe in Rancho Dominguez, Forum has contracted offtake and reservations for more than 330 Tesla Semis while keeping the site open to other commercial carriers. Forum also added two Tesla MCS Megachargers to FM Harbor at the Port of Long Beach, a depot online since December 2024 with 44 CCS ports and 9 MW overall.
Forum lists 25 carrier customers with contracted capacity and more than 40 MW of CCS and MCS charging online or under construction. More depots are planned across California, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Texas, Seattle/Tacoma, and Chicago.

California’s port and freight corridors are a natural early market for Semi charging after Tesla opened Semi Charging for Business in Europe and earlier Megacharger work around places like Vernon. The Forum buildout puts more public MCS capacity where drayage fleets already need it.
