Tesla Robotaxi Runs 6 AM to 10 PM Seven Days a Week

Tesla Robotaxi now runs from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa, the official account said on August 26, adding that the unsupervised fleet is a lot bigger and that smarter vehicle distribution and routing should cut wait times.

Those six cities were on the graphic Tesla Robotaxi posted with the hours. Austin already has unsupervised rides across the metro after public no-monitor trips opened in January, and the same Model Y fleet is doing the paid work in the other Texas and Florida markets while Tesla stages the purpose-built Cybercab for a September 3 event in Austin.

Tesla said the wait-time cut comes from upgraded intelligence in how it places and routes the fleet, not from a new Full Self-Driving version number, and it did not publish a vehicle count with the “a lot bigger line. Last week Nevada cleared Tesla to deploy up to 5,000 robotaxis in Clark County, the same week the company was talking rural Robotaxis near Berlin.

Riders book in the Robotaxi app, so the longer daily window and seven-day schedule are the part you can use tonight. Tesla did not name a software build for the hours change, and Robotaxi runs a newer unsupervised stack than the Supervised builds on customer cars.
