Tesla marked the one-year anniversary of its retro-futuristic Tesla Diner and Supercharger in Hollywood, California, revealing that the site has officially become the busiest charging location in its global network.
According to details shared on X by Tesla charging executive Max de Zegher, the Hollywood location delivered 21.2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy to electric vehicles over its first 12 months in operation. The unique site averages roughly 1,600 charging sessions every single day, keeping drivers plugged in around the clock.
Here’s a chart shared by de Zegher, showing the total energy from a 7-day rolling total (MWh) of the world’s busiest Superchargers, and you can see Tesla Diner is far ahead in the lead:
“Tesla Diner opened exactly 1 year ago. Inspiring that futuristic places like this exist,” de Zegher posted. He added that it stands as “our highest usage Supercharger in the world: 21.2 GWh delivered in a year, 1.6k sessions/day.”
First opened on July 21, 2025, the 24/7 location combines high-speed Supercharging with a drive-in restaurant and outdoor movie screens. The high throughput puts the Hollywood diner ahead of other busy charging hubs across the globe, proving that EV owners love having good food and a place to hang out while powering up.
