Tesla Rolls Out Smarter Driver Monitoring With FSD Update in 2026.14.6.7
Tesla has started pushing its latest Full Self-Driving tweak, through software update 2026.14.6.7, which brings FSD Supervised v14.3.3 to compatible vehicles. The deployment was highlighted by Sawyer Merritt on X, who noted that the software is actively downloading on fleet vehicles.
According to the official release notes, this specific iteration introduces a key feature focused entirely on cabin safety and driver attentiveness. Tesla has delivered an improved driver monitoring system designed to be far more sensitive and accurate.
The upgrade specifically targets three main areas of cabin camera performance, which include better eye-gaze tracking to more precisely detect where a driver is looking, improved handling of various types of eyewear, and higher accuracy when operating in variable or low-lighting conditions.
“Improved driver monitoring system sensitivity with better eye gaze tracking, eye wear handling, and higher accuracy in variable lighting conditions,” reads the release notes.
Following the initial rollout reports, the official Tesla AI account replied to Merritt to clarify the nature of the feature. The company noted that this capability was actually released in a previous update, but simply wasn’t highlighted in the release notes until now.
This means that while the underlying tracking improvements have been quietly operational in the background on recent builds, version 14.3.3 marks the first time Tesla has explicitly documented these precise cabin camera enhancements for users.
