This Canadian EV App Is Giving Away Up to $75 This Summer Just for Plugging In

Canadian electric vehicle rewards platform WattsApp has officially crossed a major milestone, surpassing 5 million charging points recorded on its platform. To celebrate the achievement, the company rolled out a pair of major community promotions that went live on June 1st.

WattsApp is a mobile platform designed for electric vehicle owners that allows users to connect their home charging hardware and vehicles to track data and earn financial rewards. By monitoring charging sessions, the network helps EV drivers optimize their energy use while offering incentives like direct cash back via e-Transfer and referral point bonuses.

Headlining the celebration is a new Summer Supercharging Credit program running from June through August. Under the promotional terms, eligible electric vehicle owners can receive a $25 CAD credit each month, totaling up to $75 CAD in rewards over the summer simply for keeping their home charger connected to the platform.

To claim the cash back, users must select their qualifying charging sessions inside the app’s Supercharging Dashboard. The rewards are issued directly via e-Transfer at the end of each month. To qualify for the summer credits, users must hold documented ownership of both the vehicle and the charger linked to their WattsApp profile.

In tandem with the charging credits, Toronto-based WattsApp is also temporarily boosting its referral network incentives. Starting June 1st, the platform has increased its standard referral reward fivefold, moving from 100 points up to 500 points per successful sign-up. The company states there is no cap on the updated referral structure, allowing participants to accumulate larger balances by bringing more EV owners onto the system.
