Tesla has announced that it will hold a limited in-person Annual Shareholder Meeting in 2023 due to capacity restrictions. The event will take place at Tesla’s headquarters in Austin, Texas, with a livestream accessible to the public, set to take place on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

How to apply to attend the in-person shareholder meeting at Gigafactory Texas, located at 1 Tesla Road, Austin, TX 78725?

To ensure fairness, Tesla will be conducting a random drawing to determine shareholders’ eligibility to attend the meeting in person. The deadline for entry is Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:59 Central Time. Selected shareholders will need to confirm their identity with valid government-issued identification, and selections are non-transferable. The company expects to communicate attendee selections during the week of April 17, 2023.

On Thursday, Tesla announced the nomination of JB Straubel, co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer, to join the company’s board of directors. He will replace Hiromichi Mizuno, whose board term expires and is not seeking re-election.

Straubel joined Tesla in 2004 and played a crucial role in the company’s battery cell design and the construction of the Gigafactory Nevada.

Additionally, Tom Zhu was named as senior vice president for automotive operations (the position started April 2023), becoming one of the four executive officers at Tesla, including Musk, CFO Zachary Kirkhorn, and powertrain head Andrew Baglino.
