Tesla launched the Model Y Long Range trim in Japan on Tuesday, as can be seen on the company’s Japanese order configurator.

The highly-anticipated trim for the U.S. electric vehicle (EV) automaker’s top-selling SUV now joins the entry-level rear-wheel-drive and Performance trims.

The Model Y LR order configurator also notes that the EV is eligible for the 650,000-yen clean-energy vehicle subsidy, with a price of 6,760,600 yen ($51,072 USD) before applying the incentive.

Comparatively, the Model Y RWD and Performance are priced at 5,834,600 yen ($44,331 USD) and 7,544,600 yen ($57,323 USD), respectively.

The LR variant currently has an expected delivery of April-May 2023, and it includes up to 605 km (~376 miles) of range, according to the configurator page.

The variant comes after Tesla began deliveries of the Model Y in Japan in September, launching orders in June alongside those in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Tesla opened its first delivery center in Japan in 2021, after previously having sold the first-generation Model S, Model X and Model 3 in the country beginning in 2014, 2017 and 2019, respectively.

Japan’s Model 3 and Y vehicles are produced at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, China, along with many of the regionally surrounding markets.

Tesla introduced lineup-wide discounts in Japan along with China, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, amidst sweeping price cuts in markets around the world.
