Tesla Launches Model 3 and Model Y in Thailand
Following reports of Tesla’s plans to launch vehicle sales in Thailand, the U.S. automaker has officially opened its order configurator to buyers in the country, beginning with its two most popular electric vehicles (EVs).
Tesla launched the Model 3 and Model Y in Thailand on Tuesday, offering Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD), Long Range and Performance trim options for each vehicle, as spotted on Wednesday by @Ekapob.
The Tesla Model 3 RWD starts at a price of ฿1,759,000 ($50,170 USD), while the LR and Performance trims start at prices of ฿1,999,000 ($57,016 USD) and ฿2,309,000 ($65,857 USD), respectively.
Comparatively, the Tesla Model Y RWD starts at ฿1,959,000 ($55,875 USD), while the LR and Performance options of the electric SUV are priced starting at ฿2,259,000 ($64,431 USD) and ฿2,509,000 ($71,562 USD), respectively.

The first Model 3 and Y units are expected to begin delivering to customers in Thailand in the first quarter of 2023, while the first Superchargers and service centers are expected to land in February 2023, according to Ekapob.
A few months ago, some noticed that Tesla was ramping up hiring in Thailand, suggesting that the automaker’s vehicles could be launching soon in the country.
Last week, Tesla also shared a photo on LinkedIn that said “Hello Thailand,” alongside an announcement the automaker was coming to the country in December.
