After Chuck Cook’s unprotected left turn tests using the Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta gained popularity on the internet, and even got a mention from Tesla, the YouTube host is now taking to double green lights to see how the system does.
In a new video shared on Monday, Chuck Cook performed tests at a double green light while going slower than the posted speed to see if the system automatically slowed down.
In the initial test, Cook drives at 45 mph in a 50 mph zone as he approaches a double green light, before performing the test a few different times with differing variables. The second test shows Cook approaching the double green light at precisely 50 mph, before moving on to tests at 48 mph, 60 mph and 47 mph — some going in different directions than the original tests.
This marks Cook’s second part of the double green light test, and he notes that the test partially came by request of his audience.
About a month ago, another video showed drone footage of the Tesla FSD beta performing the unprotected left turn for which Cook is known, adding to several other tests performed around the same time.
