Hardware for SpaceX’s low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite service Starlink received a price cut in one European country this week.

SpaceX has lowered the price of Starlink hardware to just 399 euros ($407 USD) in Germany, as noted by new customer @stadlix_ on Sunday.

The company’s website is still displaying the price for Starlink hardware as 629 euros ($642 USD), and the monthly service will still cost buyers 99 euros ($101 USD) per month.

The price seems to have been hand-selected for the buyer based on her location, which she says is a few miles from any DSL offices with internet to offer.

In the note, as translated from German, SpaceX writes, “Service for this order is only guaranteed at this location.”

It’s also not clear if the discount is only for those in select locations throughout Germany, or if similar deals will be offered elsewhere in Europe.

SpaceX launched Starlink internet in Germany last April, the same month as the service went live in Australia.

Last year, Germany announced plans to subsidize SpaceX’s Starlink internet for rural residents of the country.

SpaceX’s polar Starlink launch earlier this month enabled full-Earth coverage of the satellite constellation.

SpaceX also set a launch record with its 32nd launch earlier this month, deploying 46 new Starlink satellites into orbit.
