SpaceX Starlink Approved by The Philippines

After it was announced in March that SpaceX’s Starlink internet would reach the Philippines by Q2, the company has followed through with a new approval from the country.
SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet has been approved by the Philippines, as announced by @Elon Musk on Friday.
While the service has been approved, it still may take some time for the satellite internet to become available to customers in the Philippines.
Currently, SpaceX’s Starlink availability map shows the country in a dark blue signifying that it’s “coming soon” according to the map legend.

Low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites are rapidly becoming an option for increased connectivity for remote and rural locations, largely driven by SpaceX.
Starlink surpassed 400,000 subscribers this week, with around 2,500 satellites launched to date.
SpaceX launched 53 more Starlink satellites into orbit as recently as May 18.
Musk also said that SpaceX’s Starlink internet is heading to its first locations in Africa “coming soon” earlier this week.
Last week, Musk was in Brazil to help with the launch of Starlink and discuss the service with the government.
In addition to launching in several companies, SpaceX has launched a few new Starlink applications this month.
SpaceX now offers Starlink for RVs and JSX is set to become the first air carrier to offer Starlink as its inflight Wi-Fi.
