Bank of America to Double Electrify America EV Chargers at its Locations

Bank of America plans to work with Electrify America to double the number of EV charging stations at its financial centers by the end of 2023, according to MarketWatch.

At the beginning of this year, Bank of America had 172 Electrify America EV chargers across 46 of its financial centers.

In 2022’s first five months of the year, its Electrify America charging stations have jumped to 192 chargers at 51 financial centers.

Bank of America’s EV charging stations are located in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, Virginia and Washington.

Under the current plans, Bank of America is looking to increase to over 350 chargers across 90 of its financial centers, set to be completed by the end of 2023.

New expansions will not only increase in the state where Electrify America already has more stations at Bank of America locations, but the company also plans to add charging stations in states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, North Carolina, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.

Bank of America also has a workplace charging program that oversaw over 100 locations getting EV chargers for employee use.

In March, Electrify America introduced a new EV charger design for its standalone stations including lounge waiting areas and more.

Last year, Electrify America also announced plans to double its EV chargers across the U.S. and Canada by 2025.
