Solar Panels Coming Together at Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas [VIDEO]

Tesla’s solar panels at its Gigafactory Texas are starting to come together, as seen in a new 4K drone video from Jeff Roberts shared on Wednesday.

The shots span the entire length of the outside of the factory, showing the solar panels from afar.

In February, it was discovered that Tesla’s Giga Texas solar panels’ outline will eventually spell out Tesla, as noticed by some onlookers. So far, the “E” and “S” are still coming together.

The video’s description points out that, while the solar panels are making progress, Tesla is not even halfway to completing the spelled-out name — despite having some completed letters outlined by panels as of this month.

In addition to flying by the solar panels, Roberts captured a number of other sites at Giga Texas, including the factory’s Giga casting area, the upcoming cathode plant area, and just a number of Model Y units being produced in real-time.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk was interviewed by Chris Anderson for a TED Talk production at Gigafactory Texas earlier this month.

Just prior to that airing, Musk attended the Cyber Rodeo Gigafactory Texas opening event near the beginning of the month.

You can see Jeff’s full 4K drone video of the Gigafactory Texas roof and its solar panel lining — which is nearly complete.
