Tesla Launches Premium Connectivity Yearly Plan for $99

You can now subscribe to Tesla’s Premium Connectivity plan at a yearly rate of $99 USD, on top of the $9.99 USD monthly option. The annual rate works out to a slightly cheaper $8.25 USD per month.

Tesla updated its Connectivity website today to say, “Premium Connectivity is available as a monthly subscription of $9.99 plus applicable tax or as an annual subscription of $99 plus applicable tax and can be purchased at any time from your vehicle touchscreen or the Tesla app.”

“Orders of Model S, Model X, Model Y and Model 3 will receive a Premium Connectivity trial at delivery,” added the automaker.

Premium Connectivity offers cellular connectivity for Live Traffic Visualization, Satellite-View Maps, Video Streaming, Caraoke, Music Streaming and Internet Browser access.

As it stands, the annual Premium Connectivity option looks to be available in the U.S. for now, but stay tuned as the company updates its website for other regions worldwide.

According to Reddit user ‘iamVG’, a screenshot from their Tesla shows Premium Connectivity requires mobile app version 4.6 and above. All you need to do is ‘swipe to subscribe’ (reminds us of the original ‘slide to unlock’ on the first iPhone):

The Tesla app code previously noted an annual Premium Connectivity option was coming, and it’s finally here, after the feature was requested by owner @BLKMDL3.
