YouTuber and automotive expert Sandy Munro took delivery of his Tesla Model S Plaid earlier this month. Munro shared his first impressions of the all-electric luxury sedan and took it out for a couple of test drives, and also assured that a teardown would be coming soon.
Before the auto industry veteran takes the Model S Plaid apart, however, he decided to take it out on a road trip.
Munro has documented the car’s highway performance and provided his thoughts on the experience in a couple of recently published YouTube videos, meeting fans and local Tesla owners club members along the way.
Munro was joined on the road trip by Cory and Eric, automotive enthusiasts who work with him on Munro Live.
The crew’s first stop was Indiana, where they met with the local Tesla owners club and delivered the first installment of their review of the Model S Plaid’s highway driving capabilities.
Next up was a 149 mile (240 km) trip from Kimball, Tennessee, to Peachtree Corners, Georgia, where the Munro Live host organized a meet and greet with the Tesla Owners Atlanta Club.
Munro is an outspoken Tesla proponent and has even interviewed CEO Elon Musk. Last month, Munro noted that Chinese EV makers are making a play for the U.S. auto market, but Tesla remains in the lead.
