Tesla Cybertruck ‘CyberLandr’ Camper Hits $100 Million in Preorders

After a Tesla Cybertruck Camper concept topped $50 million USD in preorders in April, the aptly-named “CyberLandr” has officially reached a new milestone and doubled its pre-production sales.

The modular CyberLandr camper, produced by software and AI company Stream It, has officially surpassed $100 million USD in preorders for the camper, according to Business Insider.

The camper’s designer and CEO of Stream It Lance King says the creation of the camper was a combination of realizations, from noting that no campers would be compatible with the Cybertruck, as well as questioning the standard for a camper.

In an interview, King pointed out that the camper and RV industry “hasn’t innovated in 50 years.” King continued, “They’re not going to get a stroke of genius and create a new RV. And I thought, ‘Who could do it?'”

The idea has had around 1,000 interested buyers, far surpassing the company’s goals of reaching 100 to 200 prospective customers. It remains to be seen if the Cyberlandr can meet production and ship to customers.

Still, it isn’t quite clear when the Tesla Cybertruck will be able to begin production, though, with Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas nearing completion, it’s likely only a matter of time.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said a few weeks ago that the company would offer up a Cybertruck product roadmap, as well as updates in January 2022.
