Tesla App Now Lets You Complete Pre-Delivery Tasks and More

According to Reddit user u/110110, the recently released update for the Tesla mobile app, version 4.3, adds a lot of additional delivery information for ordered vehicles that was previously only available on customers’ Tesla.com accounts (via @terjeholden).

What’s more, the update also lets customers complete pre-delivery tasks such as adding insurance information and making the final payment for their Tesla prior to delivery right from their phone.

Prior to the update, customers could only view additional order information and complete pre-delivery tasks over the web. Even inside the Tesla app, reviewing a vehicle order would simply direct users to a link to the Tesla website, where they would have to sign in with their Tesla Account.

Being able to complete pre-delivery tasks on mobile does come at a price, though — the same tasks can no longer be completed on the web on a computer.

The availability of these new features is a bit of a coin toss at the moment. Some users in the U.S. and Canada confirmed they had the features on version 4.3 of the Tesla app, whereas others in the same regions haven’t gotten them yet. The same holds true for users in Europe and the U.K., with many reporting they didn’t have the features, even on version 4.3 of the app.

It looks like the changes are gradually rolling out to users across both iOS and Android, with no regard for geography.
