Tesla Model Y Review Hits a Whopping 220 km/h on the Autobahn [VIDEO]
Following Thomas Majchrzak’s recent coverage of the Tesla Model Y just after it arrived in Europe, the Autogefühl team is at it again with another super-detailed review of the vehicle, accompanied by a test on a high-speed roadway.
In a new video shared on Sunday, Autogefühl took a detailed look at a Shanghai-made Tesla Model Y, with Majchrzak once again leading viewers through the electric vehicle’s (EV’s) various exterior and interior details, as well as a driving test on the German Autobahn. The 35-minute feature includes a wide range of topics, all building up to some speed and driving tests on the German roadway.
In the video, Majchrzak goes over the length and styling of the vehicle, as well as its chassis, design, lights, and build quality, before moving to the vehicle’s interior. On the inside of the Model Y, Majchrzak talks about the battery, seating position, overview of the driver’s seat cockpit, infotainment system and range, before moving back to the outside to look at the EV’s trunk and frunk.
As Majchrzak begins driving on the Autobahn, he puts the vehicle’s acceleration and top speeds to the test, ultimately accelerating to an insane top speed of 220 kilometers per hour (136 mph) while Majchrzak discusses how the vehicle feels going so quickly.
Tesla’s German website lists 215 km/h as the top speed of the Model Y Long Range, so Majchrzak’s speed test exceeds what is on the company’s website by 5 km/h.
