Elon Musk Tells Employees to Go ‘All Out’ for End-of-Quarter Push

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is urging employees to go “all out” in an end-of-quarter delivery and production push meant to help the electric vehicle (EV) maker post record numbers yet again — reports Electrek.

An internal email from Musk obtained by the publication reads:

Overall, we are executing well, but the next 12 days are super important for production and delivery this quarter. Please go all out!

Thanks,
Elon

Because of the way it is set up, it’s pretty common to see Tesla’s supply chain hustle from top to bottom as the quarter draws to a close. Tesla’s efforts last quarter resulted in the company setting records and beating Wall Street estimates by delivering 184,800 EVs and seeing a proportional spike in share price.

This quarter, however, Tesla has faced supply shortages, a “containment hold” on over 10,000 vehicles that were supposed to go out for delivery, and delays in the launch of its newest offering, the Model S Plaid.

With market estimates suggesting that Tesla could deliver up to 900,000 vehicles this year, the EV maker will undoubtedly strive to set new delivery records every quarter.

Musk is careful not to mention any numbers in internal emails, so Tesla’s production and delivery goals for this quarter are currently up in the air.

Judging by Musk’s email, it looks like this quarter’s goals are attainable, but Tesla is going to have to push hard in these last few days to achieve them.
