On Thursday, u/RangerWax06 shared a screenshot from Tesla’s upgrade screen, including a glitched option for Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities with a price of $0.00. The glitch option was displayed beneath an identical description for the regular FSD which displayed the correct price of $10,000 (USD).

Unfortunately, clicking the glitched option doesn’t do anything, according to some users who tried, even though the option looks perfectly check-able.

Earlier this year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk seemingly confirmed that FSD subscriptions would be launching in Q2 this year, though it isn’t clear if the switch will, in fact, take place within the allotted time frame. Either way, some users believe the glitch to be a result of Tesla preparing to roll out its full subscription option for FSD.

In March, Tesla also expanded its FSD beta to nearly 2,000 owners according to Musk, later saying that FSD V9 would launch in April, despite the fact that it still hasn’t launched yet. More recently, Musk said the FSD V9 launch date would “probably” be in two weeks, and would “blow your mind” if you’re a Tesla FSD user.

Tesla has also said that its FSD V9 would be radar-less and only utilize cameras for its sensing abilities.

This morning, it was reported Tesla may not release its Full Self-Driving suite as intended by the end of 2021, despite being promised by Elon Musk.
