Tesla Now Has Over 760 Supercharger Stations in China, Across 300 Cities
11 new Tesla Superchargers were installed in China last week, offering a total of 84 new charging stalls for those within the country.
According to @42how_ on Twitter, Tesla has installed 11 new Supercharger stations with 84 new charging stalls last week, bringing the company’s total up to 760 Supercharger stations in China. This equates to over 6,040 stalls, and is set up across over 300 cities in China’s mainland.
The news comes not long after the country hit milestones of 700 and, subsequently, 730 Supercharger stations earlier this year, showing the astounding rate at which the company is expanding the vehicle charging infrastructure in the world’s largest auto market.

Tesla has also recently announced the opening of a dedicated Supercharger factory in its Shanghai, Gigafactory, which is expected to produce up to 10,000 Supercharging stalls per year for the Chinese market.
The V3 Supercharger allows customers to charge their electric vehicles (EVs) at rates up to 250 kW, which is a major upgrade from the company’s previous V2 Superchargers.
Regardless, expansion of the worldwide EV charging infrastructure still remains a major barrier to more mainstream EV adoption. While many owners and onlookers still struggle with “range anxiety,” or being concerned about making it as far as necessary on a given trip’s charge, the network of Tesla and third-party EV chargers is growing significantly and should ease those concerns as time goes on.
