Tesla China Offers Free Enhanced Autopilot for 30 Days to Current Buyers

Tesla’s Autopilot has been a major topic of conversation in the auto world, especially since the release of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta last year. While Autopilot and FSD are the most talked about, Tesla also offers a mid-tier option called Enhanced Autopilot in certain places around the world.

In a new update, Tesla has announced that it will offer 30 days of free Enhanced Autopilot to new buyers who order now. The deal, which was shared by Tesla China scout @ray4tesla on Twitter, is only for a limited time and includes the Enhanced Autopilot system upon delivery of the new Tesla.

Tesla’s Enhanced Autopilot was recently reintroduced in Europe, and offers users upgraded features not offered by regular Autopilot, including Auto Lane Change, Autopark, and Summon features, among others.

While Tesla’s Full Self-Driving is set for a full release later this year, according to CEO Elon Musk, the currently-released beta version is already performing some pretty impressive, zero-intervention drives. Both Autopilot and Full Self-Driving will also continually improve as the systems gather more road-tested data from its drivers.

Regardless, Enhanced Autopilot normally costs buyers in China 32,000 yuan ($3,940 USD), so 30 days free is a major benefit for anyone looking to try the Autopilot upgrade out without a commitment.

For now, Full Self-Driving beta remains only available to a limited number of testers in the United States, with Canada set to follow shortly, according to Elon Musk.
