In a recently published tweet, electric vehicle (EV) enthusiast and Twitter user Ryan Alvarez shared the discovery of a job opening at Tesla for a manufacturing project engineer in the vertical of battery cell production in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Ryan notes that Raleigh is located approximately 3 hours away from a Piedmont Lithium facility. Piedmont Lithium and Tesla recently announced a partnership that will see the former supplying the EV maker with spodumene concentrate (SC6) for its battery technology.

The listing could simply be for the production of manufacturing equipment, or a position at an upcoming Tesla research location in the area (like Tesla’s R&D hubs in San Diego, California, and Louisville, Colorado), according to Ryan.

The opening, posted December 18, seeks a manufacturing engineer to design manufacturing equipment and formulate manufacturing processes for Tesla’s revolutionary batteries.

Ryan also found new job openings at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Nevada for process engineers and process technicians to work on the production of the upcoming Tesla Semi.
