Tesla Supercharger Usage for North American Now at Pre-COVID-19 High: Musk
There are many automakers that have been affected by the pandemic, and are concerned about the fact that Americans are driving less than ever. However, Musk took to Twitter late last night to point out that North American Supercharger has now reached a pre-COVID high. The tweet has over 19,000 likes and 1,000 retweets.
North American Supercharger usage is now at pre-covid high, Europe about a week behind, China & Asia-Pacific in general doing great pic.twitter.com/bRd0egaC1t

The chart certainly indicates that daily charge sessions are increasing quickly. Musk states that Europe is “about a week behind”, and said that China and the Asia-Pacific region are “doing great.” The Supercharger network is the world’s fastest electric vehicle charging network, and Tesla boasts over 1900 Supercharger stations worldwide. Musk has also previously stated that there would be “major Supercharger increase” for the greater LA area, as well.
However, it should be noted that Tesla’s statistics likely refer to white-collar workers driving more, since the vast majority of blue-collar workers are much less likely to be purchasing and/or driving a Tesla.
This isn’t the first time that Musk has tweeted about Supercharger usage during the pandemic. Tesla North previously reported about how Musk has been keeping track of Supercharger usage all around the world. Musk has previously referred to Supercharger usage as a “signal” amid the “noise” about two weeks ago.
