Tesla Canada has raised the Model 3 Premium Rear-Wheel Drive’s listed range to 584 km and cut its 0-100 km/h time to 5.2 seconds on the company’s Canadian specs page, a big jump from the 463 km and slower sprint the trim carried when it launched at under $40,000 earlier this year.
On the Model 3 Premium Specs page with Rear-Wheel Drive selected, Tesla now shows an EPA-estimated range of 584 km, acceleration of 5.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, and Rear-Wheel Drive under the Drive section. Those figures sit well above the prior listing of 463 km and 6.2 seconds, the number Tesla settled on in May after walking the same car’s 0-100 time from 4.2 seconds to 5.2 seconds and then to 6.2 seconds.
Buyers cannot order that trim today. Tesla paused Model 3 Premium orders in Canada on October 12 after high demand used up its import quota for China-built EVs, with ordering expected to resume in March 2027 if the federal government issues more quota. The Model 3 Performance has remained available to configure while both Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and Premium All-Wheel Drive sit on hold.
The quota sits behind the low Canadian pricing that brought Shanghai-built Model 3s back under a managed tariff earlier this year, as covered when trade talks reset the China EV path. Tesla has not said whether the higher range and faster 0-100 time point to a hardware change for cars that ship after the pause, or only to a fresh listing on the specs page.
