Tesla Engineer Says Cybercab Will Get Grok Bot Access in Next Update

Cybercab riders who ask Grok for their own Grok Bots are getting turned away for now, but a senior Tesla AI engineer says an upcoming software update will close that gap, and that he has been testing the fix every day.
The complaint came from Tesla creator Dirty Tesla, who posted Thursday afternoon that “You do not have access to your Grok Bots from Grok in your Cybercab.” Yun-Ta Tsai, a senior staff engineer on Tesla’s AI team, now Tesla Super Intelligence, replied a few hours later.
@DirtyTesLa This will be fixed soon in the upcoming update.
I have been testing it everyday.

That matters because Grok Bot has quickly become the part of Grok that does things for you. It can search, read and monitor X, and as of Friday it can claim its own email inbox. Inside a Cybercab, though, riders get the regular Grok assistant without the Bots they’ve set up.
Tsai is no stranger to this crossover. Last month he described how Grok Build helped Tesla engineers ship FSD and Cybercab features overnight, and his team’s X account was just renamed Tesla Super Intelligence.
The timing lines up with a busy stretch for the robotaxi. Tesla just added 150 more Cybercabs to the Texas registry, and its own “floodgates” post has people reading the tea leaves on a wider release.
What Tsai didn’t say: which update, when it ships, or what Bot access will look like once it does. It’s also unclear whether the same fix comes to Grok in regular Tesla vehicles.
Still, a robotaxi that can check your inbox while it drives you to the airport sounds a lot like the future Tesla keeps promising. We’ll let you know when it lands.
