Tesla Ships FSD v14.3 Lite for HW3 and v14.3.11 for HW4 in One Update

Tesla has started rolling out software update 2026.33.5 in the United States, and this one build carries two versions of Full Self-Driving (Supervised): FSD v14.3 Lite for older HW3 cars and FSD v14.3.11 for HW4 vehicles.

The Lite build first showed up on Tuesday evening, when the Whole Mars FSD Database spotted FSD 14.3 Lite in the release notes on a red 2020 Model 3 in Kentucky. By Wednesday morning, HW3 owners with Intel infotainment computers were getting the 2026.33.5 install prompt, and some testers were already out on their first drives.

HW4 owners are getting v14.3.11 on the same build. FSD tester Chuck Cook said the update was landing on both his Cybertruck and Model Y, and that the FSD release notes looked unchanged from the last 14.3.x release. His screenshots show Automatic Collision Evasion still listed above the v14.3.11 notes.

The HW3 piece is the real news here. Tesla started rolling out FSD 14 Lite to HW3 owners in the US and Canada back in July, and a few weeks later some owners reported overheating issues after that update. HW4 cars, meanwhile, have moved through a steady run of 14.3.x point releases, most recently v14.3.10 in September. Version 14.3 Lite puts HW3 cars on the same version family as HW4, at least by name.

Here’s what we don’t know yet. Tesla hasn’t posted anything about 14.3 Lite or published a changelog for HW3, so it’s unclear which 14.3 features made it into the Lite build, how it compares to v14.3.11, or when Canadian HW3 owners will see it. We’ll update this post when the Lite release notes surface.

If you’re on HW3 and the update has landed in your car, check under Controls > Software. Early drive impressions should start rolling in over the next day or two, and those will tell us more than the version number does.
