Tesla has launched a new entry-level Model 3 priced at $45,900 in Australia and New Zealand, giving buyers in both markets a lower-priced way into the electric sedan lineup.

The company announced the new version on September 30, 2026, writing, “Everything you love, for less. Now available in AU & NZ.” The announcement directs customers to Tesla’s Australian Model 3 page at tesla.com/en_au/model3/d.

Until now, the $45,900 entry-level Model 3 had not been available in Australia and New Zealand. Its arrival expands the lineup with a lower starting price for customers considering the Model 3. Tesla has previously cut Model 3 prices in both markets, and reduced prices across Australia in 2023.

Tesla’s announcement focuses on reducing the price while retaining what it describes as the features customers already value, positioning the new version as a more affordable entry point rather than a separate model line. The move follows Tesla’s launch of its cheapest Model 3 in Europe.

The September 30 announcement did not provide additional details beyond confirming the new entry-level Model 3, its $45,900 price and availability across Australia and New Zealand.

With the new version now available, customers in both countries can visit Tesla’s Model 3 page to view the entry-level option.
